  1. Kourou is a very safe place. You can walk and run by yourself around the town at anytime. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming.

  1. Finding a place to stay in Kourou that was within budget was expremely difficult. Most teams ended up stay in family homes in which w met the people thè day simply by talking to people.

  1. Food is relatively expensive in French Guiana. They use the Euro so we had to be very careful about spending. We shopped at the local grocery shop and was very careful with what we bought.

  1. There are no taxis or public transportation, your best bet is your host
  2. Transportation is very expensive. The best thing is to work as much with the host as possible, so you can use their transportation.

  1. We visited The Island of Salvation for our adventure day and it was amazing. If you are in French Guiana you have to go. It takes the whole day, and it is about $43 a person. You can also visit the space museum.
