I always felt very safe in our living location. However, some of the locals (cab drivers especially) would refuse to drive us out there because they felt it was a very dangerous place.

Ministry involves working with a local school and attending church services. It was really affected by the weather, which led to a lot of down time. You might have to create your own ministry (praying, worshipping, team time) to fill your time.
