People’s Opinions

  1. We had a budget of $10 per person per day. There are so many places in Panajachel where you can eat in budget! It’s a very touristic place with lots of food places. – Some would get groceries in a big supermarket called “La Torre” and cook in the hostel Selina, that has a shared kitchen. – Check “Mister Jon’s”! A very yummy and extremely cheap hamburger place in town. – You can get a big pizza in Telepizza, inside of Pollo Campero, for like $5.

  1. – You can go cliff jumping off a 40 feet platform into the lake, in San Marcos, a city across the lake. You can take a boat there. We got a special price and payed Q 40 for the boat. It’s Q 15 to get into the natural reserve with the cliff. – Take a boat to Santa Cruz to “Free Cerveza” Hostel, where you can rent paddle boards and kayaks. – You can do the longest zip line in Guatemala, with a great forest & lake view for around $60. – You can paraglide for $100. – You can also visit chocolate museums and natural reserves.
