Off Days / Fun Activities

I went with about 15 others on a safari here and we absolutely loved it! The cost to enter the park was about 95 USD. The team’s contact in Moisbridge, Pastor Simon, knows a guy named Steve who took us on the safari.

They charge very fair prices. The total for the 8-9 hour (one way time) travel to and from Moisbridge, park entry, lodging, food while on the safari and camping, actual safari, etc. came out to about 250 USD.

It was totally worth it in July when the migration is happening (July-September). We saw 4 of the “Big 5” (lion, leopard-did not see, elephant, water buffalo, and rhinoceros). If you have the option to go in the early morning or evening, those are the best times to see animals like lions active or hunting. Lions are still out during the day but typically they hunt in the morning/evening.

Masai Mara is just a few hours south of Nairobi if you happen to be near Nairobi.
