Uber’s are the best way to get around the city- easier and cheaper than a taxi. There is also the option of a bus taxi which is also fairly cheap. There are no other public transportation options in the city.Walking is fairly safe and you can find anything you need within walking distance.

Beirut is a place with lots of different kinds of people. There are many tourists from all over the world. There are pretty cool spots to hang out like Aaliya’s Books. There is also a large population of refugees (Armenian, Palestinian, Syrian, and Kurdish). You can walk alot of places and Pigeon rock is a cool place to hang.Specific to being Black in Beirut:I can honestly say I didn’t experience any racism in Beirut.
