My team and I stayed at Tharu Community Home Stay for a week and absolutely LOVED it!We were able to pour into the staff who worked there and were only a short walk away from town. Their home stay helps support the local Tharu Community through different cultural activities they offer. Everything from bathing with elephants to Tharu traditional dancing, to cooking classes. It would be amazing to see some WR teams continue blessing this wonderful place in the future!On more practical terms, the way sleeping arrangements are set up is with little cabins. The beds were comfortable and the rooms had their own bathrooms and provided mosquito nets. There were fans in each of the rooms as well. The community is set up right next to a beautiful river and there’s plenty of seating and tables to be used as I’m realizing that’s sometimes hard to come by while on the race!Keep an eye out for “Om and the boys” as we dubbed the owner and his staff!
