People’s Opinions
There were a few times that I felt a little uneasy walking at night. Make sure to walk in groups with men if possible. There are certain streets that should be avoided after dark because of drunks. Ask your contact about this.
Ministry Summary
The ministry is to host missionaries and send out missionaries to the world. Visiting schools, evangelizing in poor communities, and praying for people in hospitals are some of the things they do.
Previous Racer: “The hosts were amazing, but I was very uncertain about the ministry. God did amazing things, but we had some huge communication issues. They are a group of people passionate for the Lord, but not completely sure about the ministry.”

Communication
A café, called Café Jaro (or something like that) is a great internet spot in the town square. It’s behind the clock tower. A small entrance with stairs leads to a huge balcony area (you can see the balcony from the street). The food is pretty good and cheap, the staff is great. Connection is normally great, but will turn off for a few moments every now and then.
Pollo Campero also has internet. You can order a pastry, muffin, or cinnamon roll and get free coffee.
