People’s Opinions
- We were Absolute Fullness of Christ and Hizkias Fako’s first team so ministry changed up a bit day to day but on average we:1) evangelism – using the evangecube. We went out on the streets near the church and walked up to people and shared the Gospel. We had Pastors and volunteers with us that were able to translate well the evangecube even if their English wasn’t perfect.2) teaching English – a few days we were asked to teach English to the Pastors and others that lived at the house or were part of the church. We started with going through the alphabet a few letters at a time each day working on pronunciation. There were people who were at different language levels.3) Youth Center – we went one day to a youth center where we shared about HIV/AIDS awareness because it’s government run and we weren’t able to talk anything about Christianity4) Preached – each Sunday we were asked to preach the sermon, sometimes the team was split up between 2 or 3 churches to do this5) Women’s Bible Study/Beauty for Ashes – we did a 2 hour womens bible study one day that we planned through the material of beauty for ashes. this went over really well and they’re hoping to do more of this in the future along with a mens study6) Prayer – we did some days of walking prayer, and leading up to their New Year we did fasting prayer during the day with the contact and other pastors at their home.7) Bible Study – we led a team bible study amongst ourselves and our contact and few othersAbsolute Fullness of Christ has 16 church plants throughout Ethiopia. There are 2 in Hawassa and 3 in Addis Ababa. You may find that you have more free time than you thought and so feel free to plan or think of ministry opportunities to do to run by him.
