  1. Make sure to go to MegaPaca! A giant thrift store almost like Goodwill. Can find tons of name brand clothes and shoes for super cheep! We bought converse for $5 and nice shirts for $2!
  2. Also forgot to add the Pardero; the main Mall in Chimaltenago:-Has a variety store like Walmart.-Restaurants, movie theater, and a bunch of other stores.-Safe ATM as well.-Pollo Campero is on the same plot as the mall complex as well but built apart.
  3. Some fun things to do:-Ruins @ Tecpan. You would have to take two buses (approx. 10-13q each way) to get there and the entrance fee for tourists is 50q. I forget the name of the chicken buses. Then tour guides are waiting to offer you a price for your group and some speak excellent English.-Maya Cafe which is about a 20-30 minute walk from Los Gozosos. They sell coffee, sandwiches, crepes and sundaes. They also have free Wifi and have an awesome view from the roof top. Plus there is a grocery store along the way. You may even run into people from your ministry site.-Never Parque Central there are several restaurants, cafes, and ATMs:*OhLaLa Cafe is another good spot with Wifi and they sell coffee, tea and crepes.*The famous Pollo Campero will chicken as its specialty; they sell Pizza and desserts. The will except the USD but it has to be in good condition.*Finally, Little Cesar Pizza if your in the mode. They might have the least expensive pizza in Chimaltenago.-Cheap Thrift Shopping can be done at the MegaPaca!! They have consistent discounts from 90% -15% on all their items and top it off a neat layout in the store. I bought pants, two sweaters, and Adidas sandals for 58q! (roughly $8) Its also near a Burger King if you wanted to grab an American style bite.-Chimal is also a short bus ride away from Antigua! Only 5q each way.
