Our team was in Stip (pronounced like Shtip, by the way) with the Evangelical Church with Pastor Petar. We rarely saw Petar, but we spent 99%of our time with Kire, Krste, Robert, and Vance. They are absolutely wonderful and crazy and their testimonies are just incredible. We did street evangelism and house visits with them during the day, and at night we usually had a church service or we did more personal evangelism in the square. Most church services, we had one person preach a sermon, and one person tell their testimony. With street evangelism, you just have to be Spirit-led and flexible! Once, we did face painting in the square, and it was so fun! We also just talked to a bunch of people, which was great. You will likely have to come up with some ideas for ministry on your own, and try to get a loose schedule for the week. They love to say “be free”, which means “we have nothing planned, so talk to people and be spirit led”. Our ministry also looked a little different because we had Exposure girls with us, and it was a pretty good way for them to see what The Race is like.
We absolutely loved it here. The guys here are just so sweet and the ministry is really what you make it. If you have musical people on your team, ask to do worship in the square! If you have artistic people, do some face painting or prophetic artwork. They want to use your teams talents and gifts, so be prepared to bring what you have to the table.
We had quite a bit of down time between our morning and evening ministry, and they do have wifi, so be wise because it’s pretty easy to get sucked in!

People’s Opinions
We were with Pastor Petar in the Evangelical Church in Stip, and we lived in the church. We had two rooms that are connected that have a/c (like most of the other rooms in the house, and the guys there HATE being hot, so they usually want it on while they’re there.) the place has 3 toilets, all in outhouses. One is in the front of the house, and two are on the side. There is a tub-shower in the storage room as well. It’s a little creepy, but the pressure is great. Just make sure you turn off the water heater before you get in! It’s electric and it’ll shock you if it’s on while the water is running. It shocked our team leader (she’s fine, it just “felt weird”.) Also in the storage room (on the ground floor) is a washing machine! Yay! You can dry your clothes in the sun room that’s located off of the two bedrooms. There is a full kitchen with a large fridge, oven and dishwasher. They like you to use the dishwasher because the sink is so small, and water gets everywhere and grows mold. The water is clean from the faucet. We filled up old soda bottles with water and kept them in the fridge to keep cold. There is wifi in the house. The church is laid out like a home, and many of the guys and church members hang out there, so you’ll have to keep the common area clear of your stuff. Also church services are of course held there, so they’ll have you lock your room during services. Nearby there is a small grocery store called Neptun down the street (leave the house and turn right and it’s on the corner on the right a few blocks down). It has enough to get by. There is a larger, much nicer one called TUS as well, not far away. Kire, Krste or Robert can show you where that is. It’s like a 5 minute walk. On the way there, there’s a place that has night markets once a week. It’s hard to miss. There’s also a coffee shop called Coffee Lab, and they can show you that too. Near there, there are clothing stores and restaurants. There’s also a bomb pizza place on the way to coffee lab that they can show you. It’s a lot of back roads, but pretty easy to figure out. The bus station is a 3 minute walk away, and you can get tickets to Skopje for pretty cheap for a day trip. It’s like 2.5-3 hours away. We paid $700 for lodging for the whole month. With 7 people, it was around $5 per person, per night (ish)
